Behavior Bingo

I’ve been able to attend a few workshops on positive behavior interventions.  Studies have shown that teachers and parents alike give far more negative behavior commands than positive ones.  We often do it without even thinking about it.  It’s truly eye opening if you keep a tally going even for one day to mark down how many negative vs positive interactions you have throughout the day.  I’m sure many of my sentences start with “stop” fill in the blank.

I’ve created a behavior bingo chart to not only find a fun way to help students or kids focus on positive behavior but to keep it on the forefront of my mind as well.  I’ve used these bingo charts in my own classroom, and arguably the biggest impact was in the tone of the classroom as I made a concentrated effort to speak positivity and life into my students.  It goes to show that even the tone of our words can have a huge influence on those around us (and on ourselves too!).

Bingo Behavior Charts

Each chart has five goals for each day of the week. Students can be given a goal of making a bingo every day, a bingo for the week, or something in between depending on individual needs in your classroom. This product includes a general behavior bingo chart, four charts focusing on common issues in the classroom (organization, attentive listener, positive attitude, and self regulation), there is an editable chart for students or teacher to fill out goals, and it comes with a behavior reflection you can choose to print on the back side of the bingo chart.  These charts also work at home!
